Company Employees Volunteer Time to Community Health Centers Across the U.S.
TAMPA, Fla. August 2, 2007 – Sage Software Healthcare, Inc. today announced that it will be showing its support for National Health Center Week (August 5 – 11, 2007) by offering volunteers to assist at a variety of activities at Community Health Centers across the country throughout the week.
National Health Center Week is an annual week designed to raise awareness about the benefits that Community Health Centers provide to the public, particularly the uninsured, people with lower incomes and people in medically underserved areas. During this week, health centers across the country host events to educate people on healthcare and the types of services provided by the centers. Many events feature free health screenings, food and refreshments, prominent speakers and more.
This year, Sage Software will be sending employees to different centers across the U.S., where they will volunteer their time to help the centers celebrate the week. Centers where Sage Software workers will be volunteering include:
- Good Neighbor Healthcare Center, Houston, Texas – Sage employees will help create more storage by removal of paper-based patient records from the site.
- C.W. Williams Community Health Center, Charlotte, N.C. – Sage employees will help during the Center’s Wellness Day. Then, after hours, they will paint the health center’s reception area.
- Delaware Valley Community Health, Philadelphia, Pa. – Sage employees will provide food and beverages for Delaware Valley’s Health Fairs, serve food and beverages at the Maria de los Santos Health Center’s Health Fair, and assist with event registration.
- Hilltop Community Health Center, Valparaiso, Ind. – Sage employees will help with set up, help serve food and beverages at lunch, help build picnic tables, and help with clean up as Hilltop Community Health Center hosts an event that will feature speakers and a health center tour.
- Kiamichi Family Medical Center, Battiest and Idaville, Okla. – Sage employees will assist with raffle and registrations during the center’s County Health Fair in Battiest.
